Julia Bartsch is a designer and artisan jeweller based in Paris. Her practice moves between jewellery and small sculptural objects, drawing from the body as both inspiration and landscape. Influenced by its folds, curves and natural movements, her pieces are conceived to interact closely with the wearer, creating an intimate dialogue. The metal surface of her pieces appears softened, folded almost skin-like and captures a sense of motion within its solid form.
Working exclusively with recycled precious metals, her practice centres on unique works and small series crafted entirely by hand in her atelier.
After completing a two-year residency at Les Ateliers de Paris (2023–2025), Julia established her atelier at La Cité des Taillandiers, a collective of contemporary artists, artisans and designers located in Paris’s 11th arrondissement.
